Bonjour!

11 years 5 months ago

Bonjour,
Comment ca va? Pour moi, ca va bien. J'apprends le francais avec ma mere.
Hello everyone. As you have probably guessed, I am learning French. I will be going to JK next year and my parents have decided that a French school may be the right spot for me. I have to do a little test to get in so each night, I have been learning and practising French with my mom.
Sorry it has been a while since my last post, my scribe has been getting lazy! Soon enough though, I will be able to write these posts on my own. I can now write my first name in capital letters as well as words such as, mom, dad, cat, and car. I have been using my dad's computer quite often. I am quite skilled with a mouse! 2010 has been a great year so far! I have been sledding quite a few times with my dad. I got a new Bakugan sled from Santa and boy does it ever take me down the snowy hills fast! If you don't already know, Bakugan toys are currently my absolute favourite. Bakugan is a game, kind of like Pokeman. There is a television show too that I watch regularly with my dad. My favourite music at the moment is my "Cars" c.d which I received in my stocking and my mom's "Black-Eyed Peas" c.d called, "The End." I love to sing and dance!
I am still attending Nursery School twice a week. I spend the other days with Andrea, Stacey, and my awesome grandmas!
During the month of February, I plan to take swimming lessons and skating lessons. I am looking forward to each of those activities. In the spring, I will once again play soccer. When the summer hits, I will start to ride my horse, Blue again and my mom says that I can even go into another horse show!
I have attached some fairly recent photos.
My scribe says that we have to sign off now as the laptop is going to run out of battery power. I hope all is well with you.
Hugs and Kisses...

P.S More photos to follow. My unorganized but loving scribe can't locate them at the moment.

My First Horse Show!

11 years 11 months ago

Hi Everyone,
Just a quick post to let you all know that I participated in my first ever horse show last Sunday, August 16, 2009, at the Ilderton Fairgrounds.
I rode Meghan's pony, Huckabee. He is a 14.2hh appoloosa pony with lots of show experience.
I rode in a class called "Lead Line." Meghan led me around at the walk and the judge looked me over. There were seven riders in my class and I was probably the smallest. When the class was over, we all waited in line while the judge called in the placings. I ended up getting a yellow fourth place ribbon. I was very excited!!! I called out proudly to everyone, "I won, I won."
I have posted a couple of photos from the show. I hope you like them.

Next week, my mom, dad, and friends, Kristin, Lac-Hong, and Tien-Long are all going to Port Franks to a cottage. I am looking forward to spending time at the beach.

Well, I think that's about it for now.

Summer Summer Summertime!

11 years 11 months ago

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are enjoying the wet summer that we've been having. I have been spending a lot of time with my mom, dad, and grandmas. I have been to Storybook Gardens twice, Adventures on Wonderland, The Toronto Zoo, and my dad took me to see the movie, "Up." I have been spending a lot of time at the farm with "Joan Grandma" and my cousin, Steven. I have been riding my pony, Blue, practising for my first horse show which will be on August 16. I am going in a Lead Line class which means that my mom will lead me around on my pony. I have a brand new riding helmet and I am ready to go. When I am practising at the farm, I really prefer to ride on my own without my mom leading Blue. Blue usually heads straight for the grass and starts to eat which I think is rather funny.
For one week in the middle of July, I came down with an illness called the "Cocksacky Virus" also know as, "Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease." It started with a high fever and then I developed sore inside my mouth and throat. I was a trooper though and got through it with the help of chewable Tylenol and Motrin.
I have attached some photos of me at The Little Gym. I go there once a week and work on gymnastic skills. As of the end of June, I finished my first year of soccer. I was just getting into the swing of things when the season ended. I am looking forward to playing again next spring!
Well, I think that's it for now. Just so you all know, I can now manoever a mouse quite well so it won't be long until I am writing to you without the help of my trusty scribe, a.k.a, mommy.

Happy Birthday to Me! I Am Three!!!

12 years 1 month ago
Hello Everyone,
As of May 22, 2009, I am officially three years old!
On my birthday, I went to my nursery school in Dorchester. My dad brought in cupcakes for me to share with my friends. After school, my mom brought home a "Cars" ice cream cake with purple cotton candy ice cream inside! I shared it with my three grandmas, my friend Tien-Long and his mommy, as well as my cousin Tori, and my parents.
The next day was my birthday party at Kidscape. I had ten little friends come to my party. We played on the climbers, bikes, and slides and then had pizza and cake and of course, presents! I got lots of cool stuff such as a golf game, a baseball shooter, "Cars" toys, a knitted Thomas the Tank Engine sweater, and lots more.
As soon as I turned three, I gave up all of my suckies. My mom says the sucky fairy came to take them to all of the little babies in the world. I am so brave. I didn't even put up a fuss. I just said, "okay." So, now on to more consistent potty training. I do use my potty but not all of the time. I now wear pull ups instead of diapers so that is a step in the right direction. I am now playing soccer on Saturday mornings and I still go to The Little Gym once a week on Monday evenings. I am a busy guy!
My mom is going to post this now and post pictures later.
Enjoy the sun and I'll talk to you again soon.

Playing Soccer!

12 years 2 months ago

Hi Everyone,
I hope this message finds you enjoying the beginning of spring with its beautiful sunshine. I have been playing outside more often - going for bike rides with my dad, going to parks, feeding ducks, playing baseball, soccer, and frisbee on my front lawn, and helping my mom with chores at the horse farm.
On Saturday, I played in my first soccer game. I play for the East London Soccer Club and I am on the Forest Green team. My jersey number is 3 which is the same as my mommy's soccer number from last winter. My mom is now playing soccer on Sunday nights so I can go with her sometimes and practice for my own games.
Guess what? I am almost three! In 18 days, when people ask me how old I am, I will be able to proudly hold up three fingers. I am having my party on May 23 at Kidscape. Last week, I helped my mom order my "Cars" ice cream cake that will be filled with purple cotton candy ice cream. I made sure that the woman in Baskin Robbins wrote down that I really want purple cotton candy ice cream. It will be yummy!!! Feel free to stop by my house on May 22 if you would like to share some with me =)
Well, I hope you enjoy the new pictures.

Is Spring Coming???

12 years 3 months ago

Hi Everyone,
From what I hear, the Easter Bunny will soon be coming to town. I will be going on an easter egg hunt at the farm with my cousins Tori and Stephen. I should be able to find lots as I am much closer to the ground than they are. I guess there are some benefits to being a little guy.

The following things have recently happened to me...
My mom bought me some new fireman rubber boots
I rode my pony, Blue, twice around the arena with my mom leading him
I got a new Buzz Lightyear (special thanks to Carson)
I got a new Jesse (special thanks to Hayley)
I got a new Woody (thanks to dad)
For those of you who may not know, the above listed items are toys from my favourite movie, "Toy Story."
I went for a ride in the backhoe with my Grandpa Robbins
I went to "Kidscape" with my dad
I got my hair cut at a barber shop

As you can tell, I have been busy!

Next month, I begin playing soccer. I will be playing at St. Julian Park on Saturday mornings. I am really excited about that! Also, my mom plans to enter me in a lead line class at a horse show this summer. I have to get a new riding helmet first though.

This year, I will be having my birthday party on May 23 (even though my actual birthday is on the 22nd) at "Kidscape." It is a fun indoor place to play located in Hyde Park. I can invite ten friends and all the grown ups I want. I can't wait! I also plan to have a "Cars" cake with cotton candy ice cream inside.

My favourite things right now are "Cars" stuff, Spiderman, Batman, and "Toy Story" stuff.

Well, I think that's it for now. I hope you enjoy the new photos of me with my "Toy Story" dolls.

My silly mommy forgot to add the photos I promised in my last photos.
This winter I have had my first experiences on a sled. Check out my cool helmet and goggles. When I first got my helmet, I didn't take it off until after 11pm that night.
Enjoy the pictures and I'll write again soon.

Happy Valentine's Day 2009

12 years 5 months ago
Hi Everyone,
Happy Hugs and Kisses Day to all of you though, to be honest, I am usually more of a high five kind of guy. Once again, sorry for the delayed post but my scribe has been busy as usual. I am now very into "Cars" and "Toy Story." I am also quite fascinated with Fire Trucks and Firefighters. Every day is a day full of learning and I am taking in so much that this great big world has to offer. With all of the snow this winter, I have had quite a few chances to go tobogganing. My daddy bought me a really cool helmet and some fancy goggles which help keep me safe on the hill. Hmmm... what else have I been up to??? My weekly schedule consists of Mondays and Wednesdays at Stacey's house, Tuesdays at Owl Grandma's house, Thursdays at Andrea's house, Friday mornings at Pre-School, and Friday afternoons at Joan Grandma's house. I sure get around! I can now sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" as well as "So What" by Pink and parts of "Shake It" by Metro Station. I have moved into the 3-5 year old class called Funny Bugs at "The Little Gym." What exactly does that mean you ask? It means that my mommy no longer comes into the class with me. She has to watch from the sitting room while I learn to follow the instructions of the teachers. So far I have been doing extremely well. I am a good little listener. Though my mom is sad that she no longer gets to do the fun activities with me. We usually go for ice cream afterwards though and talk about what I have learned. Speaking of ice cream, my favourite kind is Cotton Candy from Baskin Robbins. I have decided that for my 3rd birthday, I would like a "Cars" cake with Cotton Candy ice cream in middle.
Well, that is about it for now. I hope you enjoy the new photos.

Merry Trick or Treat

12 years 7 months ago

Hi Everyone,
I am a little late for Halloween and a touch early for Christmas nonetheless, it is time for another update from yours truly. For Halloween this year, I went out as Bob the Builder with Scoop the backhoe. If you don't already know, I really like backhoes, dumptrucks, cranes, graders, bulldozers, and just about anything that you can find at a construction site. I want to send out a big hug to Silke for making Scoop the backhoe for me. It was an amazingly unique costume! You'll see a photo of me in a monkey costume. I was on a float for the Thanksgiving parade in Dorchester. Since my backhoe costume wasn't ready then, I needed a back up. "ooh oooh aahh ahh" I am a monkey!
It is hard to believe that I am now two and a half years old! Oh how quickly the time goes by! I can now recite the alphabet, count to at least ten, complete puzzles of 24 plus pieces, turn sommersaults, sing songs, make crafts, and recite parts of books. My favourite toy right now is definitely puzzles. I do one after the other after the other! I also like to draw. I can draw a really good happy face which I learned how to do from watching a show called "Mr. Maker." Since I am so good at drawing happy faces, I was the official pumpkin face creator for our family pumpkin this year. My uncle J.P carved out what I drew. It looked really good if I do say so myself. You'll also see a picture of my mom and dad dressed up as Thing 1 and Thing 2 from one of my favourite books, The Cat in the Hat.
I have already had a brief meeting with the big man himself a.k.a "Ho Ho" and have asked for a "Pop goes the Weasel" a.k.a a Jack-in-the-Box. I think I made a decent impression on Mr. Claus. I flashed him my cutest smile and even got my hair cut before seeing him. My mommy, daddy, and I are going to put up our Christmas tree this weekend. I am looking forward to that.
Every Tuesday I go to The Little Gym where I am learning gymnastics. My teacher says that I am very agile for my age so in the new year I will be part of the class with kids who are a bit older than me. I LOVE going to The Little Gym!
I am doing my best to learn how to pee and pooh on the potty. I use my potty at least once a day and my mom and dad are very proud of me.
Well, that's about it for now. I wish you all the best over the holiday season.
Enjoy the new photos.
Hugs and kisses...

New Photos

Hello Everyone,
Happy Autumn!
Things with this little guy have been busy busy busy! Every Tuesday night, my mom and I go to The Little Gym where I get to run around, sing songs, swing on the monkey bars (my personal favourite), and do sommersaults. I am becoming quite the little gymnast! My favourite television show is "Yo Gabba Gabba." It is a funny show with lots of singing and dancing which I really enjoy. I can now easily count to ten and am getting really good at counting to twenty. I can also recite several nursery rhymes and sing parts of many songs. Every day is certainly a new learning experience. I am absorbing information just like a sponge!
I am now anxiously awaiting Halloween and Christmas. I told my mommy and daddy that I would like to be a backhoe for Halloween so they definitely have their work cut out for them! I know that they would appreciate any ideas for my costume. No one can say that I am not creative!
Speaking of backhoes, a new one will be on my wish list for "Ho Ho."
Well, that is about it for now. My mom, dad, and I will be having a new portrait taken soon to send out for Christmas. We hope you like it.

Summer Days

12 years 11 months ago

Hello Everyone,
How are all of you? Me? I am loving the summer for a number of reasons. First of all, my mom doesn't have to go to work in the summer so I get to hang out with her quite a bit. Secondly, the weather is so nice that I get to go to the park quite often. I love to slide and climb and swing! As a matter of fact, I am now a member of "The Little Gym." I go to gymnastics class every Wednesday morning. While there, I get to run, jump, turn sommersaults, swing, roll, and chase after bubbles. It is a lot of fun! The instructors there have told my mom and dad that I am very strong and agile for my age.

Last week, my mom, dad, aunt Kristin, uncle Lac-Hong, friend Tien-Long, and I, stayed at a cottage in Port Franks. We spent the majority of our time at the beach. Can I just say that the beach is the biggest sand box that I have ever seen! I made sand castles, went swimming, and even had a little nap on the soft sand. The week was a lot of fun!

Before the summer ends, my mom and dad are going to take me to my first ever movie in a movie theatre. We are going to see "Wall-E." I really like popcorn so even if the movie doesn't compare to my current idol, "Bob the Builder", I'll get some quality snacking time in for sure!

As I mentioned above, my current favourite cartoon icons are Bob the Builder and Diego. I still like Dora and The Wiggles as well but they have been somewhat put on the back burner for the time being.

Well, that is about it for now. I hope this entry finds you all well and happy. Before I sign off, I would like to send a special thank you to my grandma Robbins for letting me have multiple sleepovers at her farm. I love playing with you and Tori and going for rides in the backhoe with grandpa. I would also like to thank my grandma White and my grandma Owl for letting me play with them whenever I want. I am so lucky to have such wonderful grandmas!

I hope you enjoy the new photographs.

I'm Two!!!

13 years 1 month ago

Hi Everyone,
How are all of you??? I am great! I am two! On May 22, 2008, I turned two year old! My parents had a party for me at The Memorial Boys and Girls Club. My friends and I played in the gym and then we got to go swimming. Afterwards we had pizza and cake. My cake was awesome! It was decorated to look like a construction site and it had backhoes and bulldozers on top. In case you don't know, I LOVE backhoes!!! It was the perfect cake for me.

Since turning two, I have become quite the little man! No more crib (since 18 months as I am a monkey and can climb with the best of them), no more bottle (I prefer my red sippy cup), and I am starting to use my sucky (soother) only for sleep times. However, my blanket, or as I refer to it, "be be", is quite important to me. I am not ready to part with it yet. Sometimes my mommy and I have to give it a bath and I am okay with that. When it comes out of the dryer, I give it a long hug so that it knows it was missed.

I am now the proud owner of a Wiggles toddler bed. Yes, it's true, I sleep in the "big red car." I love my bed because I adore The Wiggles! I watch The Wiggles twice a day - once when I get up while I have my milk, and once before bed. I love to sing and dance to the songs!

On Friday I am graduating! My grandma Robbins takes me to preschool every Friday morning. I have only been going for about a month as you have to be at least two to attend. This Friday is the last day of school until the fall and there is a graduation ceremony for all of the kids. I hope I get to wear a cap and gown.

On a sadder note, I had to go to the hospital today =( I hurt my knee and can't walk. The doctor took a picture of me knee and told my mommy and daddy that it is okay. I have to rest for a couple of days though. If it is not better in two days, I have to go back. That's okay though, maybe they'll give me some more stickers.

Well, that's about it for now. Sorry for the lack of recent posts. My mommy has been very busy! With the summer coming up, she hopes to post more often.

Thanks for reading.

Hugs and Kisses...
